Phuentsholing MSS was established in 2007 as an offshoot of the present Phuentsholing LSS to ease the admission pressure. Currently there are 1032(504 boys & 528 girls) in 31 sections. The school is supported by 54 teachers including Principal, two Vice Principals, a School Counselor, three National Contract Teachers and one Value teacher sent from Zhung Dratshang under the Royal Command with 13 support staffs totaling to sixty seven. The school is also identified as Special Educational Needs Program provider in Pheuntsholing Thromde in October, 2018. We have Thirty-Two (32) students in the SEN program. The school is housed in two locations: classes III –X in Campus one situated in between Bhutan Post and Bhutan Telecom office while classes PP-II Campus II erstwhile education central store below Rabten Workshop. The temporary arrangement was made in view of improving the physical ambiance while constructing new structures under the PTA GOI funding for School Reforms Programs Small Grant Project. The new building was handed over to school in 2017. However, the merger of Campus II wasn’t possible due to admission pressure at a moment and government plans to establish full-fledged Primary school in the near future in the same place.
